Habitat provides a solid opportunity for congregations to put their faith into action. Groups of all sizes and denominations experience an excitement and a new sense of principle when partnering with Charleston Habitat for Humanity.

• Keep Charleston Habitat for Humanity(CHFH) in your thoughts and prayers.
• Invite a representative from CHFH to come speak at your church along with one of our partnering families to speak about the housing needs in our community and how you can help.
• Become one of our house sponsors or consider co-sponsoring a home. Provide the funds and volunteers to build an entire house or a portion of a house.
• Consider giving CHFH a percentage of your local outreach/mission funds.
  
• Have a homegoods drive. Have everyone bring their extra furniture, appliances, household decor, books, lighting, electronics to your meeting place, and our store will bring a box truck to come pick up all your donated items.
• Host and event or fundraiser to raise awareness and financial assitance for Habitat's build projects! (ie, 5K, spaghetti dinners, etc)
• Include the needs of CHFH in your weekly bulletin
• Place a link to the CHFH website on your church's website.
• Plan a Mission's Trip to build with Habitat in any of the 90 countries Habitat builds in. You bring the people, we will plan and host it for you.
• Volunteer your time at building sites or in the ReStore in downtown.
• If you have kitchen and shower facilities, consider providing housing to our out-of-town volunteer groups that travel to build with Habitat in Charleston.
• Become an Apostle Church by being 1 of 12 churches to participate in our Apostle's Build starting in January 2012. Please contact Jeremy Browning, Executive Director at jeremy@charlestonhabitat.org.

• Faith in Actions - As Jesus met temporal needs of people, we seek to do the same. There is something everyone can do. With or without building experience, men and women volunteer and provide the avenue for Habitat’s mission of affordable homeownership.
