We have six churches committed to our Apostles Build Project...we only need six more!!
The six churches that are currently raising funds through special events for the build are:
Local churches are important partners in our ministry. With the rising demand of affordable housing, we are reaching out to members of the faith community, asking them to unite and support the 2008 Apostles Build project.
This partnership allows twelve individual churches to join together to fully fund and build a house with a local family.
A Charleston Habitat for Humanity home costs $65,000. Of this $65,000, CHFH tithes $4,200 to building a home in Honduras. Hence, we build two homes!
Participating is simple.
Each “apostle” will be responsible for raising $5,400 and for providing volunteers to help build the home. Each church prays with us, raises a little money, and recruits volunteers for this worthwhile build.
We want to thank the six churches that have committed to this project. Their faith, enthusiasim and hardwork is greatly appreciated.

Here are just three of the numerous benefits of becoming an Apostle Church:
It offers a way to share God’s love and leads people to grow in their faith.
It can often attract new members and involve inactive members by providing an opportunity to see tangible results of their efforts as they work side-by-side.
It offers an opportunity to participate in a ministry of service that has a beginning and an end.
Put your faith into action!
Building began in September 2008. Following this, Apostle churches will pick specific day(s) to build.
We would love to set a time and day, where we could come to your church and speak more about the Apostles Build. If this is a build your congregation might be interested in and you would like more information, please call 843-722-7145 or email CHFH’s Director of Development, Kayla Droney at Kayla@charlestonhabitat.org.
