Want to build with Habitat for Humanity in Costa Rica?
In May of 2010, Charleston Habitat took a group to La Ceiba, Honduras. We helped build two houses for deserving families and had tons of fun both on the job site and seeing the sites and activities.
This year, Habitat would like to take a team of volunteers to Costa Rica to build and enjoy all their country has to offer!
There is a great need for affordable housing here in Charleston, but let's take 8 days and go assist in a country that does not share the resources, finances, and time to volunteer that we have here in the USA!
Trip Details:
5 build days
2 R&R days
2 travel days
$1600 + airfare
Dates: May 19, 2012 - May 27, 2012.
The Habitat affiliate in Costa Rica takes care of the groups housing, transportation, and meals while we are in country. Many volunteers fundraise or receive tax deductible donations to help cover the cost of their trip expenses.
