With a gracious spirit, full of thanks and praise, Harold and Lorraine Fishburne have finally received the answer to their prayers. They are finally going to be HOMEOWNERS! Like many people, they have faced many challenges and hardships in their lives. It was these times changes that brought the Fishburnes back home to Charleston.
Harold Fishburne was born on the westside of Charleston, SC, but his family moved to Jacksonboro while he was still young. Looking for more out of life than the small town could offer, Harold moved to a big city with his oldest sister.
Soon, Harold met Lorraine, a native to New Jersey. They fell in love and were married in January of 1977. Through the years the two developed hobbies they both enjoyed and made a life that was full of both hardships and triumphs. In 1989, the Fishburnes began to search for change and came back to Charleston, SC. Harold got a job working at The Cede Southern Plant but became unemployed when the plant closed.
Harold now works at Wholesale Glass. Both Harold and Lorraine do their best to enjoy the life they have built together. They have been accepted into Charleston Habitat For Humanity's homeownership program. Ground-breaking for their new home will take place on May 3, 2008.
They want to thank God and everyone who has and will donate time, sweat, food, and money to help make their dreams come true.
