Construction Volunteer Info:

The homes we build take 18 uninterrupted weeks to complete. This equals 90 work days with 15-20 volunteers working at time.

Construction experience is helpful but definitely not required.

On the Construction Site:

Schedule: we build Wednesdays-Saturdays from 8:30AM - 4:00PM
Shifts: All day, Morning shift (8:30am - 12:00pm), or Afternoon shift (12:30pm - 4:00pm)
Location: dependent upon volunteer date. You may sign up for a specific site on our online sign-up system. Please be flexible for last-minute changes.
Age Limits: you must be 16 years or older to be active on the construction site.
We provide: supervision, water, first aid, port-o-johns, and all necessary tools (you may bring you own if you like).
What to wear: closed toe shoes(you may not be on the work site in sandals or flip-flops). Dress according to the weather, but wear loose, light clothing that you do not mind getting dirty. Please remember to dress modestly.
Weather: work days are often weather dependent. We will contact you in cases of cancellation. At times we work even in cases of bad weather if we are able to complete tasks indoors.
Safety and Waivers: all first time volunteers must read and sign a liability waiver form and a safety rules and procedures form. Each volunteer must also sign-in each time they come out to the construction site. Click here to view and download our Waiver Form

Non-Construction Volunteer Opportunities

ReStore Volunteers

The business at our ReStore is growing and we need your help to answer our busy phone lines, schedule pickups for our truck driver, assist customers, clean and organize the store, price and arrange incoming materials, and assisting the truck driver with pickups.
Your help is needed:
Monday – Friday from 10am-5pm or
Saturdays from 9am-2pm
Full day or Half day shifts are available.

Lunch Sponsors

We are looking for individuals, groups, and/or businesses to provide lunch for our volunteers on the construction site. Lunches are needed for 15-20 people on Saturdays and occasionally during the week as well.
This is an excellent way to be involved! You may come out to the work site and bring the lunch yourself, in order to see the work that is being done and to meet volunteers and construction staff or we will be happy to come and pick it up. Anything from pizza to peanut butter and jelly will be greatly appreciated.

Committees

Get involved at a deeper level and help us with more behind the scenes work by joining one of our committees. Most committees meet once a month for one hour. Our committees include the Construction Committee, Development and Fundraising Committee, Family Services Committee, and the ReStore Committee.
