Mark Your Calendar for Women Build 2015!

Women Build Logo Ladies: believe it or not, it is time to begin thinking about Lowe's National Women Build Week 2015. Charleston Habitat for Humanity is excited to host Women Build volunteers again this year on May 4-9. We want to inspire women to take on the challenge of spending the day with our construction staff. Whether you've never swung a hammer or you're a remodeling pro, Women Build provides an exciting opportunity for team-building and empowerment to the organizations and individuals who volunteer.

The fee per participant this year remains unchanged at $20 per person in each organization. However, we are also extending a call to action to each group to challenge yourselves to raise money on your own. Each registered organization can set a fundraising goal to strive toward between now and National Women Build Week. People can donate online using a credit card or by check, indicating the designated organization on the memo line. Weekly updates on our website will show how each organization is progressing toward their goal.

Additionally, our friends at the Republic Garden & Lounge graciously offered to host a Happy Hour event on April 29 to kick off Women Build and let volunteers get to know one another in a casual setting. To attend this event, you must be a registered Women Build participant and RSVP in advance.

We want as many of our supporters as possible to participate in Lowe's National Women Build Week. With two days of this year's event already booked, we anticipate that our build days will be full well before May 4th. If you or your organization/company wish to participate and you  need to request a specific date  to volunteer at site, please let us know as soon as possible. Days will be assigned on a “first come, first serve” basis, and smaller groups will be combined in order to maximize daily participation levels.
