repair program

Affordable housing provides a stabilizing impact so that other needs can be more adequately met. Our Repair Program is a large piece of the puzzle, which seeks to alleviate the stress of paying for expensive home repairs and will in turn improve a family’s living conditions while ensuring that the repairs will not affect the affordability of the home.

Critical home repair is interior or exterior work performed to alleviate critical health, life and safety issues or code violations, including a change to or repair of materials or components; a reconfiguration of space; a modification for accessibility; installation or extension of plumbing, mechanical or electrical systems on an existing structure. This also includes the need for wheelchair ramps. Projects can include existing Habitat homes.

Each of our Repair Programs has different requirements and qualifications. To qualify for one of these programs, applicants must own the home (cannot be rented) and meet our family selection criteria for the repair program for which they are applying, show significant housing repair need, and a willingness to partner. For 2023, the income ranges for each family size are as follows:

FAMILY SIZE 1 PERSON 2 PERSONS 3 PERSONS 4 PERSONS 5 PERSONS 6 PERSONS 7 PERSONS 8 PERSONS
35% AMI $23,835 $27,230 $30,625 $34,020 $36,750 $39,480 $42,210 $44,940
